How DoStudy uses information in the current product.

Account and revision data
Your account contains your name, email and authentication information. An optional academic profile helps select subjects. Revision statuses are saved to your account so you can continue across devices.
Documents and conversations
Uploaded documents are processed into extracted text and search data. Original upload files are not retained by the current upload flow. Document metadata and conversations are stored to provide the notes and chat features.
AI requests and API keys
Your Gemini key is stored in this browser, rather than your account. When you use an AI feature, the key and relevant request content are sent to the processing API and external AI provider. Only submit material you are comfortable sharing with these services.
Browser preferences
A cookie stores your light or dark appearance preference. Authentication also uses session cookies. Removing your browser API key in Settings clears it from this browser.
